Borrowed vehicle in Ontario

I borrowed a friends car and got into an at fault accident which I reported to my insurance company and she reported to her insurance company.
Her insurance company paid for the damage.
My insurance company has told me that her insurance rates should not increase as it was my fault and as a driver insured in Ontario it is my rating that is affected and my insurance rates that will go up.
Is this true?

your friends rates will probably go up as well. there is a small chance her insurer will
not raise rates if they see that your rates went up. Please be sure to discuss this further with a licensed insurance representative. Oh, and by the way, are your rates too high? Check here:
