Accident with charges but wanting to avoid insurance claim
I was in an accident yesterday I was deemed by the police officer to be at fault and she laid a charge for $85 and 2 demerit points. My car had $500 damage after I took it to the autobody shop. The other car has more damage. If I pay for all repairs do I have to report the accident to my insurance company? And odds are it's easiest for everyone if it all just goes through insurance. You really are supposed to report accidents.
