I am an insurance broker from the Niagara Region in Ontario and am licensed for all types of insurance for the Province. I would like to tell you a little about my background because I know that many visitors are looking for a good insurance broker. And I might like to apply for the job as your insurance broker! I am accepting new clients from, or near, Niagara. Or maybe you just want to know if this site is trustworthy. I am fine with that too. I recognize that not everyone coming here is from Ontario and / or shopping for inurance! Niagara has always been my home. I earned an Honours Degree in Business Administration at Brock University because it is a good school and I wanted to stay in the area. While studying at Brock I took full advantage of my time there. I loved studying business and eagerly applied the knowledge I took in. I applied that knowledge through volunteering and work. I volunteered in the business clubs and worked in the Faculty of Business Consulting Service. I also served as the President of the Daycare centre my daughter attended. After graduating from Brock University with my Honours Bachelor of Business Administration Degree I spent some time in my family’s construction company. Working in the family business was a great opportunity for me but I wanted to work in a different industry. I enjoy working directly with people, I enjoy business, and I enjoy professional development. In evaluating my opportunities and skills I decided the financial industry would suit me best. Further evaluation led me to the insurance business. I picked insurance because it allowed me to continue to apply some of what I learned while studying at Brock. I really liked the idea of the professional development and developing a clientele. I have been licensed for insurance since January 2001. I spent the first six years of my career as an agent. First with Clarica (now part of Sun Life), and then with The Cooperators. Both companies gave me extensive training. But I always felt that I could do a better job for my clients as an insurance broker. So I parted ways with The Cooperators late in 2006 determined to become an independent broker. As a broker I deal with a wide variety of companies and never feel biased about the products I recommend. I think having a selection of companies is important for any insurance professional to best serve a clientele. Accepting New Clients
If you are in or near any of these cities and looking for an insurance broker please contact me If you are outside of the area bounded by Niagara, the GTA and the Kitchener-Waterloo area it just doesn't make any sense for me to work with you. You really should deal with a broker that is within an hours drive of you. Why I built this site I already have a website featuring my professional services: http://www.properlyinsure.ca. It is a well designed brochure done by a great web designer. So why did I make Canada Insurance Source? I built this site for a few reasons: First, I simply wanted to learn how to build a web site. Just as a hobby. Second, I wanted to work on my writing skills as that was an interest when I was young. I am enjoying writing this site and hope to consistently improve. Third, I know that insurance can be a confusing and frustrating topic. I thought if I could learn to build a website, practice my writing and help people to better understand insurance then I would be doing a good thing. Finally, I thought I might gain a new client now and then.
